Dear Orange Friends,
Yesterday, both the women’s and men’s basketball teams advanced to the NCAA Final Four. It is only the 12th time any university has sent teams to both Final Fours in the same year. I am so grateful to our students and coaches on both teams for their scrappy determination all year. Both teams have earned their Final Fours. They have lifted our school, our region, and Orange spirits everywhere. Tonight, the 44th President of the United States will be the keynote speaker at a Syracuse University celebration, when the Newhouse School of Public Communications awards the Robin Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting. It is a proud time to bleed Orange. Let’s continue to rally behind all our students, including in Syracuse and, this coming week, in Indianapolis and Houston.
