Welcome Summer Students – Let’s Love London!

Dear Summer students,

We welcomed you with joy and more than a little glee in our hearts when you arrived enhanced-buzz-26840-1369305310-5[1]yesterday. We really want you to make the most of our capital city, and are happy to do what we can to help make that happen – hence the field trips, cake bakes, tours and orientation sessions – but we also want you to help us give our capital a bit of a metaphorical hug: seems like she needs it right now. So come with us on Sunday’s jaunt to Greenwich: we are promised nicer weather by then, honestly! And take a quick peek at  these reasons why we love London and why you should love (it/her/him) too! (Here it is again, if that link doesn’t work: http://bit.ly/1aesw32 . Thanks to Linda in the Student Life office for passing it on – do take a peek! It’s worth it!

But with eight royal parks and numerous other green spaces to choose from, it’s hard to know where to start. Here’s a list of some of our favourites… Continue reading

Friday Fiesta at Faraday!!

Save the date – Friday 26th April – for our end of semester party!  It’s hard to believe that it’s coming up so fast but we’re busy planning the end of semester party here at Faraday House.  As always, it’s sure to be a fun-filled evening of delicious food, shameful karaoke and the world-famous CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!

Take your minds of finals, dip things in chocolate and get on the microphone and embarrass yourself in front of all your friends and classmates!!  What’s not to love?  Check out the photos below from previous parties…

This could be you!

This could be you!
