Hello spring 2017 students and welcome to London!

We’ve been really looking forward to meeting you all and we hope you’re keeping up with all that we’re offering to you this week. Keep those heads up (hope the jet lag isn’t too bad!) and please do not hesitate to come see us in the Program Office if you have any questions, concerns, or if you would just like to have a chat.

Some of you may have already heard me mention our partnership with UCLU Clubs & Societies and have noticed the membership application form which is located in your welcome packs.

UCLU Clubs & Societies membership will enrich your experience here by connecting you to your British (and non-British) counterparts and local communities. They offer an incredible 250+ clubs and societies, from Sports clubs (badminton, American football, cricket…) to boat club, chocolate society, film society, green economy society, music society, writer’s society and more.

We encourage you to take advantage of it as the UCLU membership is FREE to you all. However, please note that each club and society may have a separate membership cost to cover their own activities which would need to be covered by the student. From previous student feedback, it’s worth it!

Please read and fill out the UCLU Clubs & Societies membership form and return to Jovita Adom in the Program Office (SR 101) by 5pm Tuesday, 24 January.

If you have lost the form in the midst of all the activities this week, do not worry, you can find more in my office or on the notice boards as you walk in the building.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me: joadom@syr.edu

Have a lovely week everyone!
